I've mentioned that I won't be traveling around a lot, I'll be staying put in Cape Town. But that doesn't mean there isn't a lot to see and do! I've been reading up on some of the local attractions and already have a list of places I want to go.
- Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela spent many years in imprisonment.
- The treacherous Cape Point promontory, a witness to many a shipwreck. With hairpin bends on sheer cliffs. (I'll tell Perry about this one after I go. I remember he almost had a heart attack when I peeked over the edge of the Cliffs of Moher, the sharpest sea cliffs in Europe.)
- The Castle of Good Hope is the oldest building in South Africa. Built between 1666 and 1679 by the Dutch East India Company.
- Green Market Square is one of Cape Town’s oldest and most popular markets.
- Boulders Beach to see the penguins!
- The Two Oceans Aquarium is a window into the spectacular oceans surrounding the southern African coast.
- Table Mountain cable car tour. I'm really looking forward to this one!

I hope you'll keep visiting to see pictures of all these wonderful things! I'll put up a photo gallery as I go and I'll even try to only put of the good pictures! :)
